L3 acquired 916 W Fulton Market in October 2016. The Fulton Market neighborhood was transitioning from an active meatpacking district to a 24/7, 365 live-work-play destination and Google’s Midwest Headquarters had just arrived to the neighborhood. The property was occupied by a meatpacking business, and had housed various meatpacking operators since it was built in the 1880s. Immediately after acquisition, L3 identified a new-to-market, single-tenant food hall for the entire building, Time Out Market. L3 worked closely with Chicago Landmarks and Time Out Market to redevelop the property into a historically-inspired two-story building with a full basement and rooftop penthouse. The project was complete in November 2019.
